Basildon Financial’s mission is to provide our clients with custom financial plans that are easy to understand, align with their goals and provide for a secure financial future they can be confident in. Our primary focus is on safeguarding our clients from financial worry so that they may enjoy their lives and a comfortable lifestyle.
Our name “Basildon” honors our founder’s Grandmother, Constance Jane Rogers, whom Simon called “Nana”.
In England, a family home is given a name, and Nana’s home was called Basildon.
Nana was a model of integrity, wisdom and strength, and Simon chose to bring those same qualities to our practice with a symbol to constantly remind us of why we do the work we do.
Simon Rogers | President, CEO
Simon Rogers is a financial advisor, president, and CEO of Basildon Financial. He has over 20 years’ experience in the investment and insurance industry. He is an Investment Adviser Representative having passed the Series 65 securities exam. In addition, he is licensed for the following insurance products (life, health, accident, fixed annuities) in the state of Pennsylvania.
Simon’s philosophy is to treat his clients the way he would like to be treated: with honesty, sincerity,
compassion and hard work. He got into this business after personally witnessing how financial hardships can damage the most important aspects of our lives: health, relationships with loved ones, overall attitude and enjoyment of life. Simon decided to make it his professional mission to work to help protect his clients from experiencing these setbacks, thereby enabling them to enjoy what really matters in life.
Simon has made several television appearances discussing a variety of financial topics on ABC27 TV’s “Good Day PA” program and enjoys educating viewers on his weekly television show, Basildon’s Retire Well TV.
Simon has two lovely children whom he adores tremendously. He is a board member of two local nonprofit organizations and thoroughly enjoys helping others. His hobbies include competitive tennis and health and wellness.
Melissa Hand | Practice Manager
Melissa brings a wealth of skill and experiences to Basildon Financial having worked in the medical field for a decade in organizations ranging from specialty clinics and world-renowned medical centers to boutique family owned practices. She is committed to providing compassionate customer care with a sharp attention to detail.
Melissa joined Basildon Financial in 2018. Prior to that she worked as an optometric assistant. That
experience highlighted the importance of constant communication, effective multitasking, quality customer service & the belief that no job is too big or too small. Her varied background & professionalism make her a perfect fit for our clients ever-changing needs.
Melissa resides in Palmyra with a dog, three cats and her husband of 27 years. She enjoys reading, travel and spending time with her three daughters. She is also “Lola” to her grandson and loves hanging out with him as much as possible.
